The excitement and momentum is rising as we begin the trainings in 2019. Our facilitators are thrilled to start this rhythm rolling and meet the new Creative Rhythms Family!

So here’s whats in store for The CRF Retreat:

  • This weekend immersion is designed to support your vision and your needs as a newly certified facilitator.

  • You will feel the culmination of your CRF training and explore how you want to sculpt your style and presentation.

  • Enjoy experiential opportunities that will help you explore how you want to lead, create and customize your own creative events.

  • Each attendee will enjoy powerful creative workshops facilitated by their peers

  • Each attendee will design and facilitate a program of their choosing.

  • Upon completion of the retreat agenda, attendees celebrate with a beautiful graduation ceremony on Monday.

Creative Rhythms' THREE SPECIALTIES: 

Important note: Attendees are NOT required to have all 3 certifications to attend the retreat.

 Meditative Painting and Creative Jam Session Workshops: Teaches the art of letting go. Energizing/ relaxing/ interactive expressive arts group activities blending art, music and active meditation. 

• Creative Rhythms drum program: non-verbal communication for team building/ leadership skills

• Meditation: simple evidence based tools for managing anxiety, stress and depression

*Each program stands on its own. When combining one or more of these experiences, the results are clear: more community connection and self discovery benefits, more potential for integration and self care practices.

*Each specialty offers creative tools, fun events and interactive group experiences. 

*Each program is easily custom designed around the group’s needs or a themed event inspired by peer support and leadership.

    Q: Is there time to play and get to know my CRF Family?

    A: YES! Fri - Sun: 7pm -10pm  Enjoy evening festivities(rhythm, music, labyrinth, etc.) 

A Little More About the CRF RETREAT daily programs: 

  • Expressive Art: 2hr workshops (Fri, Sat, Sun) Co-Facilitated experiences lead by Team leaders and peer facilitators offer a blend of arts and healing with painting mediums. The peer lead workshops allow attendees and facilitators to design their own expressive arts program while exploring ideas and style. The music, colors, texture and guided imagery inspire a new experience with each session.

  • Sound Meditation: 2hr workshops (Fri, Sat, Sun)Support our new facilitators as they lead a sound healing event each day. The beautifully designed building enhances the sounds, energy and connection. We’ll support and share our experiences following each session to offer learning opposites.

  • Rhythm CommUNITY: 2hr workshop (Fri, Sat,Sun) Rhythm wellness facilitators will lead group activities using a variety of percussion instruments. These 10min activities are program ideas CRF Trainees have worked hard on all year. We will enjoy a mix of motivational and relaxing rhythm modules each day during the rhythm ConnUNITY portion of the schedule. Attendees will offer support and feedback to help our facilitators fine tune their programs and facilitation.

Meals are cooked onsite by the retreat center staff:

The dining room looks out on the beautiful view and offers plenty of space for enjoying gourmet meals and meaningful conversation. The fully equipped commercial kitchen is stocked with healthy, organic, often locally grown food for vegetarian meals that feed the body and soul.

Accommodations are top notch:

The sleeping rooms have very comfortable beds, excellent soundproofing, heat, and ceiling fans, as well as a large window overlooking the beautiful grounds. Four bathrooms with a total of 8 showers and 10 toilets are a short walk down one of the halls. Best of all, the floors are heated throughout the entire lodge.

*There are two pathways to join this team: Rhythm Facilitator OR Specialty Facilitator

- Rhythm Facilitator: Registration for either intermediate or advanced CRF certification
- Specialty Facilitator: Rhythm Intensive in November with certifications in Sound Meditation or Expressive Arts

Q:  Do I have to take both the rhythm and specialty trainings to attend the retreat and become a certified facilitator?

A:  NO. You do need to be part of one of the training programs listed above to attend this retreat. The retreat attendees will be a mix of either rhythm wellness or specialty facilitators.

Q:  Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

A:  This training is offered to adults over age 18


Q:  What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A:  The retreat center is about 40min south of Ithaca NY. All attendees will provide their own transportation. the CR closed FB group will offer a forum for attendees to arrange carpooling opportunities. There will be a post in the closed FB group reminding attendee of this as the date gets closer.


Q:  What can I bring into the event?

A:  Bring a journal, pen, training manuals (from the 2 day trainings), water bottle, snacks

The refund policies are in place to secure the lodge for our retreat. We hope you understand.

  • Refunds are ONLY available until May 15th

  • Between May 15th - November 15th all cancellations/re-schedules will result in "store credit" which is applicable to any event/class/workshop/retreat list on the website:  

  • Registration fees ARE transferable,to certified CR certified intermediate/advanced facilitators.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: After November 15th 2019, All sales final, registration will be closed.

Cost: participant fees including accommodations, meals and all workshops and supplies 

Early bird special: $1200 by May 15th - $1500 regular price. This fee does not include the training cost for each level/certification. These prices are listed on the detail pages for each level or specialty.

Q: Will there be extra options for purchase on site?

A: We will have a room set up for massage and private sessions with our team leaders. Prices will vary: $40-70/ massage appointments, $50-$75 Private sessions
